LET GLASSYBABY LIGHT UP YOUR WEDDING
glassybaby sets the stage for the perfect wedding celebration
SEATTLE, WA – glassybaby has introduced four ways to shine a light on this very special day. The new offerings coincide with the launching of their redesigned website.
Gift registry
At www.glassybaby.com couples can register for their favorite glassybaby from over 80 unique seasonal colors. On the redesigned website the glassybaby "wish list" allows couples to register for wedding gifts. In addition, many couples give glassybaby to their wedding party, honoring friends and family with a meaningful and beautiful thank you gift. As collectables, glassybaby becomes even more meaningful to newlyweds as they embark on their new life. Couples can start a tradition of collecting glassybaby to mark special events like anniversaries, birthdays and/or the starting of a family.
Gift sets
Gifts sets are now making it easier to give glassybaby as a wedding gift. Founder Lee Rhodes has hand selected 6 different gift sets, which can be ordered online, gift wrapped and sent directly to the couple anywhere in the United States. The gift sets are $120 (not including tax and shipping) and represent some of Lee’s favorite color combinations. Notes Rhodes, "Almost daily, I would receive calls from customers asking me to create color combinations for them. With gift sets, the online shopping and gift-giving experience is now even easier."
Wedding Décor
Create a "bouquet of color" at your wedding with glassybaby in place of, or in addition to, flowers. As they like to say at glassybaby, "flowers wilt, chocolates melt, glassybaby forever." glassybaby not only makes a big impression on the table they are sustainable, reusable and have a life beyond the wedding day. With over 450 colors produced to date, and offerings changing seasonally, your color choice becomes even greater than you would have from your seasonal flower selection. glassybaby will even take custom orders. "The message of glassybaby has always been one of hope and love, caring and renewal - what a perfect compliment to your wedding celebration," reflects Rhodes.
Rental program
For wedding planners, glassybaby offers their rental program. Planners can choose their own array of glassybaby colors, which rent for $5.00 each.
About glassybaby
glassybaby was founded in 2001 by Lee Rhodes, a three time cancer survivor. Finding solace in the beauty of glassybaby, she started selling them to her family and friends out of her garage, and moved to her first retail studio in 2003. A glassybaby is physically a small colored, glass cup, candleholder, or vase. The light of a candle coming through the glassybaby generates more; it gives warmth to a cold day, a calm token of peace in the busy world. glassybaby are a metaphor to symbolize hope, are humble in spirit but not in beauty.
glassybaby are hand-blown in Seattle by glass artisans in a myriad of seasonal colors with names like Wet Dog, Seattle Sunset, Comfort and First Kiss. To date, the glassybaby goodwill program has donated over $300,000 through sales of selected colors to cancer-related charities. Their packaging is environmentally friendly and 100% recyclable. glassybaby sell for $40 each and can be purchased at the studio/store in Madrona, by phone or at www.glassybaby.com. Store hours are M-Sat 10-6, Sun 10-3.
