Seattle is a city built on heart—on people and organizations that show up for their community not just in moments of need, but every single day. That’s why the partnership between glassybaby and the Seahawks Women’s Association feels less like a collaboration and more like a homegrown connection. Created here, both are fueled by compassion, and both believe deeply in the power of caring for others.
While many fans know the Seahawks for game days and the energy of the 12s, fewer see the depth of the community behind the scenes. The Seattle Seahawks aren’t just a team—they’re an ecosystem. Beyond the players are coaches, scouts, athletic trainers, IT and equipment crews, staff members, and families who carry the rhythm of the organization. Within this extended family is a remarkable group: the Seahawks Women’s Association.
The Seahawks Women’s Association brings together the women connected to every corner of the organization. Though not a public membership group, the work they do touches families across the region. Their mission centers on uplifting women, nurturing wellness, and supporting children and families throughout Seattle. They are the quiet force behind the scenes—welcoming newcomers, building connection, and showing up for their community with humility and purpose.
This year, in celebration of 50 seasons of Seahawks football, the team hosted a flag football camp for middle school girls at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center. The Seahawks Women’s Association played a key role—assembling care packages for every participant and helping create an atmosphere of encouragement and belonging. Their presence wasn’t just logistical; it was symbolic. Each care package and every moment of support reminded those young athletes that they have a place in sports, in leadership, and in the future of this community.
Traci Schneider, President of SWA and wife of president/general manager John Schneider, shared that her favorite part of being in the SWA is creating opportunities to foster connection—within the organization and across the city. For her and so many others, SWA is about building relationships, lifting one another up, and cultivating a spirit of community that reaches far beyond stadium walls.
The SWA’s work stretches into many corners of Seattle. Members support local YWCAs, Habitat for Humanity, and numerous other organizations, offering resources and care to women and families experiencing transition or hardship. And as the holidays approach, the group is preparing one of its largest giving efforts yet: adopting 180 children to provide personalized holiday gifts. Generosity rooted in joy—a reminder that small acts of kindness can transform someone’s season.
Light a candle, lift a community.
