To celebrate reaching our 16th million dollar donated to help heal people, animals and the planet and to reaffirm our long-standing commitment to people whose lives have been touched by cancer, glassybaby began the Light It Forward campaign in September 2025 to gift 16,000 votives via a giving chain, driven by you.  

Initially, hundreds of complimentary glassybaby were sent to health care professionals working in cancer-care settings across the country and often far from the Pacific Northwest. Each recipient was invited to “Light it Forward” by using a unique code—found on a card inside their shipment—at the LIF checkout page to forward a complimentary glassybaby to someone in THEIR lives professionally driven and/ or personally touched by cancer. That person, in turn, will receive a glassybaby and another unique code to light it forward, and so on and so on.  

In addition to widening glassybaby’s reach to front-line cancer workers across the country, we are pleased that longtime members of our glassybaby family can individually nominate a cancer “hero” to potentially receive a complimentary votive. To nominate someone, please complete the form found on the LIF page of our website www. Glassybaby.com/LIF. We hope to send glassybaby to people new to our mission and our light, so please keep that in mind when nominating, as we will do the same when confirming nominees. After submitting a nomination form, look for an email within 1 week confirming your choice. In that email there will be a code that YOU will use to place the order for a complimentary votive sent to your hero. Search for Light It Forward on web to access checkout portal. Choose Enter the Code, pick among offered colors as available, and at checkout enter the code for charges to drop to zero. Please be sure to add your name to your gift message. You must finalize your order within a week of receiving the code. 

Things to note. Light it Forward offers limited colors that change. There are no refunds or exchanges. When checking out, do add a gift message and please end it with your name. The campaign lasts until 16,000 votives are sent.  Nominating someone is only the first step; if the nominee is approved, YOU will place an order using a code emailed to you.
