Every glassybaby tells a story of love, healing, and connection. Today,  we’re sharing one customer’s journey — from honoring her grandmother during cancer treatments to building a colorful family tradition filled with meaning and light. 

“In college, I remember hearing about glassybaby when my grandmother was going through breast cancer treatments. I loved the ‘why’ behind the votives, how the company blossomed from the seeds that Lee sprouted. I pined over glassybaby for a long time, but they were out of my grasp for many years. It wasn’t until 2016 when I purchased my first glassybaby: 'grace' and 'home sweet home'; because every home needs grace! A handful of others came shortly after that within the following year: 'music and peace' (hello bright colors!), 'moonstruck' (glow-in-the-dark goodness), 'petal' (pink flower petals? Yes, please!) Those are three of my favorite still! But, it wasn’t until March 2018 though that my collection really started to take off. Being an avid baseball fan, I was immediately drawn to 'home run' when it released early 2018. My oldest had just started playing baseball and I knew I had to have home run to commemorate his first years playing. 'horoscope' was another my husband and I were immediately drawn to also! Both are often seen on display in our home still.  

My husband and I slowly continued adding to our collection in the following years, mostly purchasing glassybaby as gifts, for sentimental moments, etc. Let’s be real though, we had A LOT of sentimental moments those next few years - ha! Collecting glassybaby over the years has allowed me to network with so many amazing people, all over the world! My three kids have all taken to glassybaby over the years too; each of them proudly having their own collections they can take into adulthood with them down the road. Watching them toddle around in the stores as little kids picking their favorites was always so dang cute. A fun story along my collecting journey…my mother-in-law used to not understand my love of glassybaby at first. I’d buy them for her as gifts year after year, then she started buying them herself. Now, she has - probably - twice (maybe more?!) as many as I do! How’s that for passing the collecting torch?! I think I’ve started mini-collections for most of my family at this point too. I love sharing my love of glassybaby with others, especially my kids, close family and friends.  

One of my favorite things about glassybaby? How there’s a glassybaby for everybody and every moment; a color to go with every room, every sports team, every celebration, every feeling. Color is something I have always been drawn to. When I design a room in my home, it’s always around color. glassybaby play right into that in my family’s home. We use them in all our spaces to add a pop of color for decor, as well as a touch of candlelight in the evening to wind down and relax.  

My favorite glassybaby? I have to say my 'eclipse' is my ultimate favorite. As a homeschool mom, my kids and I have a lot of memories from that Solar Eclipse day, and looking at my 'eclipse' glassybaby reminds me of all of them. 'music and peace', and 'eye of the storm' are close seconds, for so many reasons. It’s actually so hard to pick favorites; I cherish all of my glassybaby, in all honesty; they all tell a story.”
