Among the many organizations we’ve partnered with, we feel especially thankful to share our light with the B+ Foundation—a remarkable source of strength for families fighting childhood cancer and a beautiful reminder that choosing compassion can truly change lives. 

A Shared Mission with the B+ Foundation 

The B+ (Be Positive) Foundation was founded in honor of Andrew McDonough, whose blood type became a powerful message of resilience during his fight against leukemia. Today, B+ continues that message by offering direct, compassionate support to families navigating pediatric cancer—when and where they need it most. 

The foundation’s work goes far beyond awareness. They step in to help relieve the overwhelming financial burdens that often follow a diagnosis. From covering a month’s rent or a utility bill, to helping with travel costs for treatment, B+ helps families stay afloat during the unimaginable. Their support allows parents to take time off work so they can be fully present during long hospital stays—without having to choose between a paycheck and caring for their child. 

When we spoke with Carly Bergstein, Executive Director of the B+ Foundation, she shared what continues to inspire her most: 

“It’s the people who care and support by choice. From the volunteers who choose to give their time, to companies that decide to give away their profits instead of padding their pockets.”
