a midsummer day’s dream
'twas late afternoon, and the heat was so cruel
that all through the city, no-one could keep cool.
but down at the beach, the water was fine,
so we all went swimming in the sunshine.
until the tangerine sun began to descend,
and in living color, the people came alive again.
an unexpected dance party had us all shaking a hip,
until midnight, when we all went for a skinny dip.
